IT asset disposal · Canada-wide

Secure IT asset disposal — that returns value, not a bill.

IT asset disposal done properly is three things at once: your data destroyed and documented, your old hardware handled responsibly, and its value returned to you. Maxicom delivers all three across Canada — reuse-first, with per-asset certificates and a chain of custody your auditor will accept, and settlement in CAD.

IT asset disposition in Canada

Disposal, data destruction and value recovery — one engagement.

Most organizations stitch ITAD together from a shredding vendor, a logistics provider and a broker, and lose visibility at every handoff. We deliver it under one engagement: collection on a documented chain of custody, data destroyed to NIST 800-88 with a certificate per asset, reuse-first disposition, and the recovered value paid back in CAD against your PO.

Chain-of-custody collection

Documented from your loading dock to our facility — signed manifests, no gaps.

Data destruction per asset

NIST 800-88 / IEEE 2883 sanitization matched to the media, certificate per drive; physical destruction where required.

Reuse-first disposition

Refurbish and remarket by default; recycle only what's genuinely end-of-life, through licensed partners.

Value recovery in CAD

A written, line-item settlement for what's recovered — disposal that pays you back.

Data security

Nothing is resold until your data is destroyed.

Data security is the core of ITAD, not a bolt-on. Every asset is sanitized to standard with a per-asset certificate, on a chain of custody built to be admissible at audit.

NIST 800-88 & IEEE 2883Each drive sanitized to the standard for its media type; drives that can't be wiped are physically destroyed through a vetted partner.

Why Maxicom

Why sellers choose Maxicom.

We pay, we don't charge

Value recovered and paid in CAD against your PO — not a disposal fee. That single difference is the whole point.

We buy at the source

Direct from businesses, decommissions and the trade — so prices are keener and stock has a known history.

Honest about data & certs

NIST 800-88 / IEEE 2883 with a certificate per drive. No R2, e-Stewards, ISO or NAID AAA badges we don't hold.

We take the whole lot

Mixed conditions, faulty units, whole estates — one deal, not cherry-picking the easy items.

We respect the trade

Resellers' and ITADs' stock moves through our network on NDA, never back into your own market.

Documented, audit-ready

A written line-item offer, chain of custody, and certificates — the paperwork your auditor and privacy officer expect.

Questions

The short answers.

What's the difference between ITAD and recycling?
Recycling is one possible outcome; ITAD is the whole process — secure collection, data destruction, reuse-first disposition and value recovery, with documentation throughout. We recycle only what's genuinely end-of-life.
What paperwork do I get?
A per-asset certificate of destruction and a documented chain of custody from collection to settlement — the records auditors, privacy officers and insurers ask for.
Do you pay, or charge, for ITAD?
Where there's recoverable value we pay you in CAD; disposal returns value rather than costing a fee. Genuine end-of-life residual is recycled through licensed partners.
Which standards and laws do you work to?
NIST 800-88 and IEEE 2883-2022 for destruction, aligned to PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25, Alberta & BC PIPA, PHIPA and OSFI Guideline B-13. We do not claim R2, e-Stewards, ISO or NAID AAA certification.
Can you handle multi-site or nationwide ITAD?
Yes — from a single office to a nationwide programme, collection arranged across the GTA and Canada on a documented chain of custody.
Do you work with ITADs and MSPs?
Yes — we act as a reuse-first buyer and destruction partner for the trade, on NDA.
Do you serve businesses across all of Canada?
Yes — we're based in Brampton, Ontario and work with businesses nationwide, with collection arranged across the GTA and the rest of Canada. Business hubs like Toronto, Montréal, Ottawa, Calgary and Vancouver are all served.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes — NDA is standard for sensitive engagements and available on request. Confidentiality is part of how we work.
What documentation will we receive?
A documented chain of custody and a certificate of destruction per data-bearing drive — plus a written, line-item settlement where value is recovered.
